AS Monaco have announced the signing of Russian World Cup star, Alexander Golovin who joins the Ligue 1 side from CSKA Moscow.

Golovin who impressed at the just concluded World Cup played in four of Russia’s World Cup games helping the hosts to the quarter-finals before losing to Croatia on penalties.

“I am very happy to sign for AS Monaco,” he said to Monaco website. “This is a new adventure for me that I approach with a lot of ambitions. I am now very much looking forward to meeting the staff and my new teammates and to get going.”

After completing a transfer in the region of €30m and singing a 5 year-deal, the 22 year-old midfielder will wear the no. 17 shirt as he begins a new adventure with the French outift.
