Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, who recently left South African club Chippa United on mutual consent, has admitted he has no contract offers on the table, www.aclsports.com reports.
Nwabali, 29, moved to the rainbow nation in 2022, before ending his stay with Chippa United, and the former Enyimba goalkeeper has now confirmed that he is a free agent and is waiting for the right offer to continue his career.
Nwabali has been linked to various clubs, including Raja Casablanca, Simba of Tanzania, Kaizer Chiefs, and more. However, the former Katsina United goalkeeper has confirmed that no major talks have taken place yet.
“There is no contract in front, there is no club in front,” Nwabali told Andile Ncube on Sports Night Amplified. “And I am not guaranteeing you that a club will come today or tomorrow.
“I am not desperate to get a club, but whatever club comes, if it suits my agent and it suits me, I am going to play. Football deals with happiness. I am happy with the club, but it is something understandable between both parties,” Nwabali added.

Nwabali, who made the transfer request after Nigeria’s third-place finish at the AFCON in Morocco, went ahead to explain that it was not an easy thing to do for him, but he believes it is a necessary step in his career.
“It was a tough decision. It is not a nice feeling, but in football, you have to make a step forward. It was something I really needed to do. There was a very good understanding between both parties, and it was something we both felt was the best,” Nwabali said.
The Super Eagles shot-stopper is now set to carefully assess his options as he seeks a new club ahead of the next phase of his career, with reported interest from teams both within South Africa and abroad.
