The Nigerian international, who joined AFC Toronto in February 2025, stood out in four matches by scoring three goals. Her strong play helped boost the team’s momentum in the Northern Super League.

One of the highlights of her month came in the clash against the Montreal Roses, where Okoronkwo scored a stunning strike that earned her the Northern Super League’s “Goal of the Week.” The goal, an emphatic finish that showcased her technique and vision, captured national attention and further solidified her status as one of the league’s most exciting attacking talents.

Since her arrival, Okoronkwo has brought leadership and top-level experience to a young AFC Toronto squad, instantly becoming a central figure on and off the pitch. Her relentless work ethic, sharp instincts, and ability to rise in big moments have made her a key piece in the club’s ongoing evolution.

Winning the award is a big moment for both Okoronkwo and AFC Toronto. As the club’s first-ever winner, she sets the tone for future success and shows the competitive spirit the team aims for.

With the season heating up, Okoronkwo’s influence will be crucial in shaping AFC Toronto’s ambitions, and if May is any indication, she’s only just getting started.
