Togo star Emmanuel Adebayor is on the verge of parting ways with Paraguay side Club Olimpia after failing to report for training due to the Covid-19.

According to the local press, the 35-year-old striker, who joined the South American team last February, is currently in his hometown Lomé and cannot travel out of the country (Togo) due to a land and air travel ban imposed by the authorities.

Consequently, the club has opened talks with his representative in view of revoking his contract with the outfit, the reports said.

Adebayor was recruited to help Olimpia in their Copa Libertadores campaign but has only played four matches with no goals scored.

Olimpia is his 10th club after Metz and Monaco in France; Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and Crystal Palace in England; Real Madrid in Spain and Basaksehir and Kayserispor in Turkey.
