Swedish club, IF Elfsborg, have completed the signing of Beyond Limits Football Academy midfielder Oladimeji “Muiz” Abdulmuiz, www.aclsports.com reports.
Abdulmuiz, who featured for the Nigeria U17 team two years ago, has now secured a permanent move to the Scandinavian country.
The Nigerian midfielder will join the first team in June permanently, and has signed a contract until the summer of 2029.
“It’s a very nice feeling and I’m happy to be here,” says ‘Muiz to the club’s website.
Muiz is a player from the renowned Nigerian academy Beyond Limits who was identified and followed during last year’s Gothia Cup, as well as during subsequent the Creative Championship (TCC) league games in Nigeria.
“I simply like to control and play forward, but I’m also good at chasing and putting pressure when we don’t have the ball within the team,” Muiz added about his game.
“In competition with several clubs, we have now, after good discussions with Beyond Limits (where, among others, our old player Garba Lawal spoke well of Elfsborg), bought Muiz and he has signed a contract until the summer of 2029. We warmly welcome Muiz and it will be very exciting to follow his continued development with us,” Club manager Stefan Andreasson said about Muiz.
The 17-year-old midfielder will now spend a couple of weeks in Borås to get to know the club. He will then return permanently in June and join the men’s first team.
