Super Eagles and Chelsea defender, Ola Aina, will join Serie A outfit, Torino, on a permanent transfer, according to the English side.

Aina will join Torino on a permanent deal reportedly worth in excess of €10million.

Chelsea confirmed the transfer through an official statement on their website as they thanked the young defender for his time at the club.

“(Ola) Aina is to complete a permanent transfer to Serie A side Torino, ” a part of the Chelsea statement said.

“Everyone at Chelsea Football Club would like to thank Ola for his services and we wish him the best of luck for the next stage in his career, ” it added.

Aina’s move to Torino comes after a successful 2018/2019 season when he impressed during a season-long spell at the club, making 32 appearances in the Serie A, scoring one goal.

Following his outstanding performance, the Italian club has decided to exercise their right to make the move a permanent one.

The 22-year-old joined Chelsea as a kid in the under-11 before rising through the ranks to make six appearances for the senior squad after making his debut in 2016 against Bristol City in the League Cup.

Aina, who won two FA Youth Cups, and two UEFA Youth Cups while at the Chelsea Academy, is currently with the Super Eagles in Egypt, where they are getting ready for the 2019 AFCON.

He is expected to join Torino after the tournament in Egypt.
