DTigers camp open in Lagos

Nigeria Basketball Federation has invited 14 home based players ahead of the 2017 Afrobasket in September.

Nigeria’s men national basketball team, D’Tigers, will begin camping on Wednesday August 23. Aclsports.com gathered that the camping will be done on two fronts, with home-based players scheduled to train in Lagos while their foreign based counterparts will train in a yet to be released location.

The list includes: Kano Pillars trio of Abdul Yahaya, Azuoma Dike and Eli Abraham. Gombe Bulls duo of Onyeka Okeke and  Yakubu Sylvanus, Victor Anthony ( Rivers Hoopers),  Mark Mentors Musa Usman and Echoibi Victor.

Kwara Falcons duo of David Godwin and Mojubaoluwa Oyeleye who led their team to win the Atlantic Conference six playoffs will be joined by Timothy Mudiaga Igeofe (Hoops & Read) and Joel Ejigba (Civil Defense).

Daalu Egbejiogwu  of Raptors Basketball Club and Ibrahim Olajuwon Bassi of Lagos Warriors completes the 14 man preliminary list.

The Lagos camp will be supervised by Kwara Falcons coach Adewunmi Aderemi and Gombe Bulls coach  Mohammed Abdulrahman.

2015 Afrobasket Champions are drawn in Group A with Mali, DR Congo and Ivory Coast.
