Galatasaray Women have confirmed that Nigerian defender Oluwatosin Demehin has signed a contract extension, keeping her in Istanbul for another season, www.aclsports.com reports.

The 22-year-old centre-back is set to begin her second campaign in Galatasaray colours, after an impressive debut year in which she featured in 26 matches across the Turkish league and Europe, scoring once. Her solid defensive presence was key in the team’s historic Champions League run, where she established herself as one of Galatasaray’s most reliable players.
Demehin, who recently returned from Morocco, played a pivotal role for Nigeria’s Super Falcons at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), helping her country lift the trophy. She not only anchored the defence but also got on the scoresheet.
Galatasaray said in a statement: “Our Galatasaray Women’s Football Team has extended the contract of Oluwatosin Demehin Blessing. She was one of the key players in our historic Champions League success and also won the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria this summer. We wish her a season full of success.”
With her confidence soaring after international glory, Demehin will now look to carry that winning mentality into her second season with the Turkish giants.
