De Defenders HC unveiled 6 new players ahead of the 2023 Ardova Handball Premier League season which is scheduled to commence on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023.

The Abuja based club secured the services of the players from different clubs within the country. The players include Cynthia Terfa who joined from Benue Queens while Alaska Palang joined from Bendel Dynamos in the women’s team (Defenders Babes).

In the men’s team nicknamed De Defenders secured the services of Abdulmujid Abdulazeez, Emmanuel Joseph, Ephraim Erefagha and Emmanuel Amos (All Free Agents).

The head coach of De Defenders HC, Sunday Ajana insists his team will end the first phase of the 2023 Ardova Handball Premier League on a high.

Ajana said, “We know the expectations of our supporters and fans from us are very high and we are not ready to disappoint them.

“We will fight till the end to fulfil our promises of making them happy at the end of the first phase,” Ajana told www.aclsports.com

He said the players have to change their mentality if they want to lift the trophy at the end of the 2023 League.

Defenders Babes will face Seasiders Babes in their first match by 10am while De Defenders battles Nigeria Correctional Service by 4:30pm on Sunday.
