Cameroon football federation has announced a donation of 40 million francs ($85,000) to division one and two clubs as well as the women league in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic that has paralysed football activities in the country.

The body said the funds will be used notably for the payment of player salaries and to cover eventual health issues of the playing body and staff during this period.

The domestic leagues were suspended early match to prevent the spread of the virus, with all players sent home from camp.

However, complaints of unpaid salaries and club owners’ inability to react prompted the intervention of the FA.
