Asante Kotoko head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, wants his side to score a lot of goals against Nigerian side Kwara United in their CAF Confederation Cup first-leg clash this Sunday, www.aclsports.com reports.

The Porcupine Warriors, just like Kwara United, won the Ghana FA Cup last season and will now come up against each other in the first preliminary round of the second tier of African football competition.

Speaking in a pre-match interview, the experienced tactician stressed the importance of a big win against the Nigerian side to make the reverse fixture easier for his team.

“We are working towards our attitude, our approach. Now that we are going to play at home, we have to overcome them with a lot of goals to make it easier when we go to Nigeria. They will also try to prevent us from scoring, so that it makes it easier for them in Nigeria.

“We are taking this match so seriously; we won’t underrate anybody [in this competition]. I’m optimistic about a win on Sunday, Inshallah,” Karim Zito said.

The CAF Confederation Cup first leg meeting between Asante Kotoko and Kwara United will be played on Sunday, September 21. The game will kick off at 4pm (Nigerian time) at Accra Sports Stadium.
