Beach Volleyball: NVBF trims male, female squad for Commonwealth Qualifiers

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has reduced the number of female and male invited to camp for the beach volleyball Commonwealth qualifiers.

The Commonwealth qualifier is scheduled to hold this month from October 25 to 28 in Sierra Leone.

A statement obtained by aclsports.com revealed that reduction was done due to the short time frame for camping and reduce work load on the coaches.

The reviewed male players are: Paul Anshungu, Andrew Sunday, Peter Ibrahim, Ibrahim Adamu, Obayemi Ogunshina, Godwin Shekarau and Hilary Simion while for the female are: Tochukwu Nnowga, Blessing David, Isabella Laju, Amarachi Uchechukwu, Queen Augustine, Jumai Bitrus and Francisca Ikhiede.

The coaches selected to supervise both teams are; Imodu, Kayode Imolore and Precillia Agera

Aclsports.com gathered that only players with three Points at Kaduna trials were invited.

The players have been directed to resume at the at High performance, package B, Abuja stadium.
