Super Falcons winger, Rinsola Babajide, scored her first goal for AS Roma in their 3–0 triumph over Sassuolo on Sunday, www.aclsports.com reports.
The Nigerian international opened the scoring in the 21st minute setting the tone for a dominant display from the Giallorossi. Giada Greggi doubled the advantage in first-half stoppage time, before Alayah Pilgrim sealed the triumph with a late 87th-minute strike. Babajide was substituted at the start of the second half.
With the win, Roma completed a perfect run in Group C of the Serie A Women’s Cup, winning all three of their group fixtures to secure a place in the Final Four, which will feature single-leg semi-finals and a final to crown the inaugural champions.
Next, Roma travel to Portugal as they look to overturn a 2–1 deficit in the second leg of the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifiers.
