The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) has invited 16 players (women) ahead of the 2023 Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) Games in Togo, www.aclsports.com gathered.

The 2023 Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) Zone III Games is scheduled for 4th to 9th December in Lome, Togo.

Topping the list of invited players are the four outstanding players at the 2023 Ardova Handball Premier League in Lagos; Toyin Yusuf (Best Goalkeeper), Inikpi Aruwa (Best LeftBack), Diana Saloo (Best LeftWing) and Plangnan Oliver (Best Center).

The HFN extended an invite to two foreign players; Rachel Ovetuo and Wuraola Nuhu while five other players will be making their debut into the senior national team camp; Esther Mathew, Taiwo Babatunde, Amarachi Oparaugo, Prudence Samuel and Lucy Onyekwere.

Innocent Chukwuma of Safety Babes HC has been appointed head coach of the team and will be assisted by Yusuf Abdulkadir of Plateau Peacocks assistant coach.
