Ovoke doubled their advantage in the 16th minute before two further goals from the attacker in the space of three minutes effectively ended the game.

He made it 3-0 in the 23rd minute, and completed his hattrick three minutes later.

There was one more goal from the man as he added a fourth eight minutes from the break to give the Pride of Rivers a commanding 5-0 lead going into the break.

It was more difficult second half for United, with Gusau better organised at the back ensuring the Rivers team were unable to add to their goals.

However, just when they thought they had done enough, Malachi Ohawume finally find a way on the stroke of the 90, to make it 6-0 for the NPFL side.

A completely dominant performance from Stanley Eguma’s men sees them book their place in the last 32 of the Aiteo Cup.

Sokoto United Knockout MFM

Elsewhere, Lagos state based outfit. Mountain of Fire and Miracles football club, MFM FC, suffered a shock defeat to Sokoto United.

There was nothing to separate both sides after the 90 minutes, with the game going straight to penalties.

Sokoto United would go on to win 4-3 to advance to the next round, with MFM left to rue what has been a disappointing season.

Lobi Stars were held to a 1-1 draw by Standard Football Club after 90minutes before they lost three of their spot kicks, to lose 3-2 on penalties.
