Odion Ighalo has found favour in the eyes of Nigerians after another wonderful performance against Libya in an AFCON2019Q.

Ighalo scored a brace as Nigeria’s Super Eagles survived a scare to beat their hosts, Libya 3-2 in Sfax on Tuesday evening.

Ighalo put Nigeria ahead before turning provider for Ahmed Musa to double the lead. However, the Libyans fought back to level scores at 2-2.

Then, with time running out, a superb solo effort from Ighalo saw the China based star leave Libyan defenders for dead before calmly slotting home the winner.

It was his fifth goal against the North Africans in two outings, after his hattrick heroics against them in Uyo on Saturday, leading to showers of praises from his countrymen.

Here are some of the best reactions to his man of the match performance in Tunisia.

And finally, after scoring more goals in these two games against Libya than he had prior to Saturday, are we seeing a rejuvenated Ighalo?

With that result, Nigeria has taken charge of Group E on nine points, one ahead of South Africa, who were held to a goalless draw by Seychelles.

Libya stay third, a further five points behind Nigeria, while Seychelles have just a point.
