Ada Okey says Safety Shooters is eager to lift the 2019 Prudent Energy Handball title. The versatile player told www.aclsports.com that the game between Safety Babes and Edo Dynamos was a tough game adding that they almost lost the game.

Safety Babes came back from behind to beat Edo Dynamos 27-24 on Day 9 of the 2019 Prudent Energy Handball League in Lagos.

Okey said, “It was a great match and also a tough one because the match was a decider for us and would have affected the standing of the table. Our opponent, Edo Dynamos have not lost any match before our encounter and this is a big challenge to us – kudos to them.

“Edo Dynamos played a very good game but alas as leaders of the log after the first phase, we won the day”.

She attributed anxiety to the shaky first half adding that Safety Babes will take the two remaining game seriously.

Ada Okey said “The truth is that I do not give up until the end of the game.  Edo Dynamos have never beaten us and it will not start today. During the first half, I and my teammates were very anxious to win but during the second half, we calmed down, played our game and showed them we were superior”.

“The remaining two matches will be tough. We are currently comfortable on the table but we still need to give our best against Plateau Peacocks” she added.
