Sam Clucas scored twice as Swansea came from behind to beat Arsenal 3-1 at the Liberty Stadium. The night will be remembered less for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who made his debut in the Premier League for Arsenal since his move from Manchester United, and more by the comedy of errors from Arsene Wenger’s men, with the three goals scored by their hosts all gifts from his defenders.

Spaniard, Nacho Monreal, continued his recent goal scoring form for the Gunners by opening the scoring on the 33rd minute to give Arsenal a 1-0 lead.

But the lead only lasted few seconds as Swansea equalised instantly through the brilliant Cluclas, after a pass from Alfie Mawson, who capitalised on a poor defending by the Gunners to put Cluclas through on goal, and the midfielder made no mistake to draw the Swans level.

Another ridiculous mistake from the Arsenal defence was punished by Swansea, this time, Jordan Ayew, it was, who pokes home from close range to put the home side 2-1 up, moments after the hour mark.

But the drama didn’t end there, with four minutes left to play, the Arsenal defence were at it again, as a calamitous defending sees Swansea kill off the game with a third goal.

Monreal fails with an acrobatic clearance, allowing Ayew find space for a cross down the middle of the Arsenal box, but the defenders made another mess of the situation, with Cluclas on hand to slot home his second, and Swansea’s third of the evening.

A deserved win for the home side, who had lost four of previous five meetings against the Gunners prior to the game.

Carlos Carvalhal continues to weave his magic, as the Swans follow up their impressive win over Liverpool the last time with another excellent victory against Arsenal. The results sees Swansea off the foot of the table for the first time, albeit temporarily.

For Arsenal, the pressure continues to build for them and Wenger, as they remain sixth.

Elsewhere, it was a one sided affair, as Liverpool bounced back from their shock defeat at Swansea with a comprehensive win over Huddersfield.

Juventus bound midfielder, Emre Can, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah were all on target as the Reds ran out 3-0 winners over the Terriers.

The win means Jurgen Klopp’s side is now level on points with champions, Chelsea, who stay third, however, with Liverpool in fourth, due to their superior goal difference.
