Three time African Wrestling Champion, Aminat Adeniyi says girls participation in sports will help reduce poverty and early pregnancies in the society.

The commonwealth champion in a series of posts on her social media page said women who play sports have a positive body image and they command respect from their look.

Adeniyi said those that engage in sports have the ability to think fast and have the tendency of tackling challenges that comes their way.

She said, “Girls who play sports have unique characteristics that differentiate them from girls who do not play sports. They have the ability to think fast, it’s hard to see a sport lady in a too difficult situation; they tend to have answers to all challenges that come their way, as a general saying in the sport of wrestling that when you wrestle, every other thing becomes easy”.
