Succour may be on the way for Ivorian international footballer Emmanuel Eboue who has reportedly been offered a coaching role at former club Galatasaray.

This comes after Eboue’s interview with UK tabloid Daily Mirror on how he lost everything after divorcing his wife, and how it nearly led him to taking his own life had gone viral on the internet over the weekend.

Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim, the man who signed the ASEC Mimosas product for the Istanbul giants from Arsenal in 2011 saw the shocking quotes and according to CNN Turk the former Ivory Coast full-back has been offered the job of under-14 assistant coach.

Terim spoke to CNN about the matter after Galatasaray’s 3-1 win over Goztepe in Sunday and assures his club will do everything in their strength to help the right back.

“We heard news about Eboue in the dressing room, I was informed there, we will do whatever we can to help my friend,” said Terim.

It is also understood that Galatasaray have launched a campaign helping former players with troubles, with club legends Hasan Şaş and Necati Ateş sharing messages of support for the Eboue.

The club are also willing to place Eboue on its wage structure as he attempts to get his full coaching badges.

It remains to be seen though if the former Arsenal star will be willing to end his footballing career. He is presently serving a one-year ban from FIFA which will elapse in the new year.
