National Taekwondo Federation release calender for last quarter

The Nigeria Taekwondo Federation (NTF) on Wednesday released the event calendar for October to December, 2017 which is the last quarter of the year.

In a statement obtained by aclsports.com, the NTF basic coaching seminars will be held at three locations namely, Maiduguri, Abakaliki and Markurdi.

The NTF Basic coaching seminar for Maiduguri, Borno State is scheduled for October, 14th to 15th 2017, while the coaching seminar of Abakaliki, Ebonyi state will hold from October, 21st to 22nd and lastly Markurdi, Benue state venue is holding on October, 28th to 29th 2017.

The statement signed by the Secretary General NTF, Taiwo Oriss revealed that there will be a Nigeria Armed forces and para militaries games in Kaduna in November, Korean Ambassador Cup (dates not fixed) while the camping for medalist at the 2017 National Youth Games is between October 15th to 27th 2017 in FCT, Abuja.

The Nigeria Taekwondo Federation board meeting, Congress, National Referee Seminar, Nigeria Open and NTF National merit award will all happen in December at the Federal Capital Territory.

“No athletes will resume camp based on ethnicity, religion and tribe. Everyone of them must fight for a place in the National team. We want to produce formidable teams and regain our positions in Africa”, he ended.

Oriss said the calender was made public to show transparency, Justice and equity.
The Secretary General told aclsports.com that athletes and coaches will be selected on merit.
