Two months after his last LaLiga goal, Chukwueze rediscovered his scoring boots on Sunday at home to Celta Vigo.

With the visitors leading 0-1, just before the hour mark, a calm finish from Chukwueze had Villarreal level.

However, it was not enough at the end as Celta scored two more goals to make it 1-3 and take all three points.

But the Super Eagles wide forward who played the duration of the game was one of the few players to leave the pitch with his head held high.

Apart from his goal, he created one chance, one key pass, and completed five take-ons, the most in the match.

Earlier on Saturday, Kenneth Omeruo and his Leganes teammates were close to snatching a point at home to Barcelona with the former African Champion on the pitch.

Omeruo’s Leganes was just 11 minutes away from a point before Arturo Vidal struck the winner to break the hearts of the home fans.

Omeruo, who was substituted in the 83rd minute, was the only Nigerian on the pitch as compatriot, Chidozie Awaziem watched on from the bench.

Ramon Azeez and Granada were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Valencia with Azeez seeing 62 minutes of action before he was substituted.

In Italy, Ola Aina and Torino were thrashed 0-3 at home by an in-form Inter Milan with Aina coming on three minutes before the hour mark.

Aina still completed six dribbles, the most by anyone in the game and picking up a yellow card, too, his third of the campaign.

Udinese suffered a 2-1 defeat at Sampdoria with William Troost-Ekong in from start to finish.

Jamilu Collins grabbed his first assist of the season as Paderborn and Borussia Dortmund played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the German Bundesliga on Friday.

Collins, who also picked up a booking in the game, assisted the third goal for Paderborn, who led 0-3 at Signal Iduna Park at the break before an impressive fightback from the host in the second half earned them a point.

Shehu Abdullahi was on from start to finish as Bursaspor defeated Keciorengucu 1-0 at home.

In the French Ligue 1, Samuel Kalu was on from start to finish as Bordeaux defeated Henry Onyekuru’s Monaco 2-1.

Lille missed their main man, Victor Osimhen, as they fell 2-0 in the Capital against champions, PSG. Osimhen was suspended for that clash.

Moses Simon was not listed for the trip to Brest as Nantes held their host to a 1-1 draw.

Finally, in England, it was another win for Wilfred Ndidi and Leicester City as they continue to put pressure on leaders, Liverpool.

Leicester defeated a Leon Balogun-less Brighton 0-2 on Saturday with Ndidi winning the most duels (6) in the match.

At Goodison Park, Alex Iwobi featured for just 34 minutes as Everton lost 0-2 to Norwich City. Iwobi still created two chances, two key passes and completed 100% of his dribbles.

In the Championship, Semi Ajayi was handed a defensive midfield role for 90 minutes as WBA defeated Sheffield Wednesday 2-1, while Stoke City beat Wigan by the same scoreline without the injured Oghenekaro Etebo.
