Nigeria thrash Benin Republic 2-0 (21-5, 21-5) in the women’s beach volleyball event at the ongoing 2019 African Games in Rabat, Morocco.

The pair of Tochukwu Nnoruga and Fransica Ikhiede was too hot for Benin Republic to handle as it took Nigeria less than 20 minutes to win her opening match.

Fransica Ikhiede said Nigeria plans retaining the title won at the last African Games in Brazzaville, Congo.

Ikhiede said, “The game against Benin Republic is a prelude to what Nigerians should expect. We are in Morocco to retain the crown and by the grace of God, we shall overcome”.
