Week 5 of the Nigeria Women Football League will see league rookies, Jokodolu Babes host reigning league champions, Nasarawa Amazons.

So far, Jokodolu babes have a total of 4 points in 4 games in their debut season in the women’s top flight league. Speaking on how the team has coped with this new experience, head coach of the side, Ahmed Mohammed said: “It’s been very tasking, but we are coping and we are adjusting gradually. With time we will be fine.”

Another tough test awaits the Ogbomosho based team after a disappointing loss to Abia Angels last week and Ahmed Mohammed has revealed that his girls are ready for the visit of Nasarawa Amazons.

“We are well prepared; we are aware of their experience and current form. My girls are determined and we will take all the 3points God willing,” he said.

Adding that “We haven’t lost at home and that alone is a motivation. Soun Stadium is a fortress.”

Worthy of note is the fact that Nasarawa Amazons also remain unbeaten in the league and a win over the reigning champions would be a huge statement. When asked what his final words would be to the girls before stepping on to the field of play he said: “All I will just tell them is go into that field and win, I believe in you.

“Forget the names just play football. If you can silence Rasheedat Ajibade, Monday Gift and co; then nothing big about Nasarawa Amazons, they are girls like you.”

He then adds that “It will be a very difficult game in which we will win 1-0.”

Soun Stadium is the venue and 4pm is the time as Jokodolu Babes play host to Nasarawa Amazons in Ogbomosho.
