Nigerian side Enyimba are among the four teams seeded ahead of the group stage draws of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup billed to hold on Saturday.

The two-time Champions League winners advanced to the group stage of this year’s Confederation Cup after a nail-biting contest against South African side Bidvest Wits which ended on Wednesday in Calabar.

The goalless draw in the second leg ensured Enyimba progressed on away goals rule, with the Aba Elephant the remaining Nigerian club left in this year’s African club football competitions.

The group stage draw for the Confederation Cup will be conducted at CAF Headquarters in Cairo on Saturday afternoon and Enyimba have been seeded alongside two teams that qualified at the expense of Nigerian clubs.

Sudanese side Al Hilal who eliminated Akwa United on away goals rule and USMA of Algeria, conquerors of Nigerian league champions Plateau United are seeded as well as Congolese side AS Vita.

The seedings according to CAF took into account, performances of the clubs in the last five CAF Inter-Club competitions.

The African football governing body had earlier this week confirmed that group stage games in the Confederation Cup will hold on Sundays and Wednesdays, leaving the other days for Champions League duties.
