The second day of the ongoing zone 3 African volleyball club championship at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos witnessed three matches – one in the female category and two in the male category.

In the male category, Ghana Police recorded an impressive win over Garde Nationale of Niger Republic. It was a straight forward three set game in which Ghana Police won 3-0. Similarly, Nigeria Customs picked up from where their female counterparts left off on the opening day, trouncing Entente volleyball club of Benin Republic 3 sets to nil.

The highlight of the day was however in the match between the female team of Ghana Police and Legacy volleyball club (female). The Ghanaians raced to a two set lead in what seemed like an easy fixture but the Legacy ladies rallied back into the game winning the next two sets to take it to a fifth set. In the fifth set, it was a close call with both teams sharing the points equally until it was tied at 13-13. In the end, the Ghanianas survived the scare and emerged victorious winning 3-2 after picking the next two points to win 13-15 in the fifth set.
