Ibadan City Marathon introduces wheel chair and artisan race

The 10th edition of the Power Oil/Splash FM Ibadan City Marathon is set to take a new dimension with the introduction of artisan, corporate and the wheel chair race.

Interested participants in the 5km artisan race and 3.5km wheel chair race are expected to pick up their forms at the National Sports Commission, Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Liberty road, Ibadan; with cash prizes ranging from ₦50,000 – ₦20,000 to be won while the winner of the 42km race will go home with ₦3m.

The marathon is billed for 8th of April, 2018 and it is expected to commence by 7am at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Liberty road, Ibadan and end at the starting point.

In addition to the wheel chair and artisan race is another category called: “Run For A Cause.” In this category money is raised for the blind, mentally challenged children, children with disabilities, female sex workers and street boys rehabilitation home.

Interested participants with internet access can register for free online at http://ibcitymarathon.splashfm1055.com while Lagos residents can also pick up a form at Adebayo Akande centre located at No. 1, Oba Akran avenue, Ikeja, Lagos.
