The Head Coach of Nigeria Army female volleyball team, Elishama Elam has declared war on his opponents ahead of the Zone 3 Africa volleyball clubs championship in Lagos.

The Zone 3 Africa volleyball clubs championship is scheduled to hold from 14th to 19th April, 2019 at the University of Lagos.

The COAS Spikers coach told www.aclsports.com that last year’s league prepared the girls ahead of the Zone 3 championships.

He said, “The Nigeria Army female volleyball team is working hard at least to present a good team for the zone 3. I am also praying that we do not experience any form of injury before the event kicks off in few days time.

“The Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai through the Director, Directorate of Physical Training Nigeria Army, Brigadier General Ola Olatoye has created an environment where the team can train and excel”.

He added, “The girls are ready for the championship. You will agree with me that last year league exposed them to big competition like what they are preparing for”.

Ahead of the volleyball league, Elam said the team is targeting the top three spot.

He said, “We were 4th last year at the 2018 National Volleyball Premier League as you know. I tell you that by God’s grace we will come among the top 3 and we are preparing for that”.
