Super Falcons captain and shot-stopper, Chiamaka Nnadozie saves two penalties which ensure that Pasris FC progress and Arsenal Women are eliminated from the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) Qualifiers.

Chiamaka Nnadozie continued her rich vein of form from the just concluded FIFA Women’s World Cup, saving two penalties from Norway’s Frida Maanum and England’s Alessia Russo as Paris FC won 4-2 on penalties to progress to the next round of the UWCL Qualifiers.

Nnadozie kept a clean sheet before the Arsenal game and was en route to doing the same as her team led the tie 2-0 on the hour mark. But changes from the Arsenal bench meant Alessia Russo, who left Manchester United Women for a chance to play in the Champions League with Arsenal Women came on and scored.

The match ended 2-2 in regulation time but Paris FC once again went ahead in added time to make it 3-2 and Russo once again found the back of Nnadozie’s net to level things up as the match ended 3-3 in extra time.

It was then time for a hero to step up and shine as Nnasdozie made two penalty saves from Maanum and Russo ensured her side progressed to round two of the UWCL Qualifiers.
