Nigeria U20 women’s national team, the Falconets, will face Senegal in the third round of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers, www.aclsports.com reports.

The Falconets sealed their passage after a dominant 4-0 victory over Rwanda at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, on Saturday, completing a 5-0 aggregate win. Precious Oscar opened the scoring before Fatimah Tunmininu, Janet Akekerowei, and Taiwo Afolabi all added their names to the scoresheet in front of the home crowd.

Senegal, on the other hand, booked their place with a convincing 6-0 aggregate success against Algeria. After a 2-0 victory in the first leg, the Lionesses travelled away and sealed qualification with a 4-0 win, thanks to an early strike from Sokhna Nogaye Pene, an own goal by Melissa Rekibi, and late efforts from Aïssatou Sagna and Khadija Badio.

Both sides will now meet in a two-legged contest scheduled between February 6 and 14, 2026, as they battle to secure one of Africa’s four slots at the 24-team FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
