Nigeria U20 women’s national team, the Falconets, have resumed preparations in Abuja ahead of their FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifying clash against Senegal, www.aclsports.com reports.

The team opened camp on Saturday, 4 January 2026, at the Westpoint Hotel, kicking off an intensive training programme ahead of the crucial tie. Seventeen players are currently in camp, with additional invitees expected in the coming days to complete the squad.

The Falconets reached the third round after a 5-0 aggregate win over Rwanda and also clinched the 2025 WAFU Zone B U20 Girls’ Cup in Adjohoun, Benin Republic.

Head Coach Moses Aduku confirmed that preparations are on course, with the technical team focusing on tactical discipline, team cohesion, and physical conditioning to ensure the players are match-ready.
