Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team, the Falconets, will now face Senegal at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta following a late change of venue, www.aclsports.com reports.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) requested the switch from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after raising concerns over the deteriorating condition of the playing surface at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

With player safety and match quality in mind, CAF approved Abeokuta as the new host venue for the crucial World Cup qualifier.

The first leg will now see the Falconets welcome Senegal to the MKO Abiola Sports Complex, with kick-off scheduled for 4:00 PM on Saturday, 7 February. The return leg is set for Saturday, 14 February, in Dakar, Senegal.
