Super Falcons trio of Asisat Oshoala, Anam Imo and Rasheedat Ajibade were all at the double as their clubs recorded crucial wins this week.

Oshoala scored twice as Barcelona Femeni defeated Sevilla 6-0 to reach the final of the Spanish Copa de la Reina on Thursday evening.

The Nigerian captain opened the scoring in the fourth minute and added another seven minutes before half time to complete her first half brace and put her side in a comfortable lead.

The Spanish Giants continued from where they left off in the second period to complete a 6-0 rout and set up a cup final meeting with Logrono.

Anam Imo was also in on the goalscoring act finding the net in both halves as Rosengard avoided a cup upset to Eskilsminne in a thrilling 3-2 win.

Like Oshoala, Imo opened the scoring with a brilliant strike in the first half as her team led but were pegged back by the visitors. Her second goal however secured the points as Rosengard went 3-1 up but held on for the win despite a late fightback which earned the visitors a second goal.

The win ensures Rosengard stay in the race for a Swedish domestic double as the battle for silverware continues.

In Norway, ex-FC Robo forward Rasheedat Ajibade also scored a brace as Avaldsnes defeated Division one side, Amazon Grimstad by five unreplied goals.

Ajibade’s 15min second half brace ensured Avaldsnes booked a place in the quarter-final of the Norwagiean Cup.

Finally in Sweden, Ini Umotong was also on target in Vaxjo’s 3-1 win over Kalmar in Wednesday’s Swedish Svenska Cupen encounter.

At 2-1, Umotong who moved to Sweden in July, buried any hopes of a comeback from Kalmar as her tidy finish extended the lead to clinch all the points for Vaxjo.
