Six-time African Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala, scored and provided an assist in Al Hilal’s 3–0 win over NEOM in the Saudi Women’s Premier League on Friday, www.aclsports.com reports.
Oshoala set up Al Bandari Mobarak for the opener in the 14th minute, which gave Al Hilal a 1–0 lead at halftime. Kheira Hamraoui added a second in the 67th minute before Oshoala sealed the victory in the 85th minute from Mobarak’s assist.
The Nigerian forward has now scored in all three league games this season, with three goals and two assists. At Al Hilal, she looks revitalized, showing the sharpness and rhythm that went missing in her final months at Bay FC. Oshoala is once again confident and decisive, not only scoring but also creating, a clear sign she is enjoying her football after a difficult end to her NWSL stint.
The victory maintains Al Hilal’s perfect start to the season, with three wins from three matches. They sit at the top of the Saudi Women’s Premier League and will look to extend their unbeaten run when they face Al Ittihad on Thursday, October 2, a clash that will see Oshoala come up against her Nigeria teammates Ashleigh Plumptre and Francisca Ordega.
