Sprint sensation Favour Ofili showed once again that she belongs on the big stage after finishing third in the women’s 200m at the Silesia Diamond League on Saturday, www.aclsports.com reports.

Running in a stacked field that featured reigning world champion Shericka Jackson of Jamaica and Olympic bronze medallist Brittany Brown of the United States, Ofili clocked 22.25s to claim third place.

Jackson, who has endured a mixed season so far, reminded the world of her quality by storming to victory in a Season’s Best (SB) 22.17s. Brown followed closely in second, crossing the line in 22.21s, just ahead of Ofili.

For Ofili, the race was yet another strong statement as she continues her fine form on the circuit this season. The 22-year-old has been Nigeria’s most consistent female sprinter, constantly challenging the world’s best and keeping herself in medal conversations.

Her latest showing in Silesia not only highlighted her steady rise but also reinforced her status on the global stage, with the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo firmly on the horizon.
