Nigeria’s Blessing Oborududu claimed her ninth gold medal at the just concluded African Championships in Hammamet, Tunisia.

The two-time Olympian was hoping to continue her domination at the continental event in Tunisia and eased through her opponents in the women’s 68 kilogram freestyle competition.

Oborududu who wrestled with so much experience, defeated Lilia Mejri of Tunisia, Samsia Gassida of Chad and Anta Sambou of Senegal 10-0 each in dominant fashion

Reacting to her feat, the commonwealth gold medallist thanked God for his kindness over her life.

Oborududu said, “I just want to say a big thanks to Almighty God for his loving kindness upon my life.

“To be a nine time African champion, it’s not easy if not for God being there for me. What Shall I Say Unto the Lord All I Have To Say Is Thank You Lord”.
