Rangers Women marked their historic debut in style, with a 3–0 win over Osklean FC in their first-ever competitive match at the 2025 NWFL Nationwide in Abuja, www.aclsports.com reports.
At the Bwari Township Stadium in Abuja, the Enugu-based side, unveiled earlier this year, combined discipline and attacking precision to record a 3–0 win that sent them straight to the top of Group A. Chisom Onuchukwu made history with the club’s first goal in the fourth minute and added another late on, while Peace Pius struck in the 68th minute to seal a memorable opening victory.
Elsewhere in Group A, Dreamstar Ladies began their campaign with a thrilling 4–2 victory over Plateau Queens. Kaosarat Akanji opened the scoring in the third minute before Oluebube Ibezundu added a quick brace to make it 3–0 by the 18th minute. Plateau Queens fought back through Juliana Solomon and Juliet Okoloko, but Aishat Sanni’s 71st-minute strike ensured Dreamstar Ladies claimed all three points.
Group B produced even more fireworks as Alexander Queens delivered a stunning 10–0 demolition of Sporting Angels. The dominant display saw Mercy Francis, Edet Essien, and Chiamaka Onyeizu each score twice, while Anagbiandoo Kulave, Ogochukwu Ozoani, Chinwe Aniamalu, and Rhoda Emmanuel also found the net in a one-sided affair that firmly announced Alexander Queens as early contenders.
Rosaria Victrix also impressed with a commanding 3–0 win over NAF Queens, thanks to goals from Favour Nmesoma (penalty), Blessing Onwukwe, and Oluebube Keke.
With ten ambitious clubs split across two groups, the battle for four promotion spots to the NWFL Championship promises to be fierce, and Matchday One has already set the tone.
