A top clash in Aba awaits us in the Nigeria Professional Football League matchday three action on Wednesday.

Enyimba, who are flying high under Finidi George, will hope to extend their winning streak when Rivers United visits them at the Aba International Stadium. The Aba Elephants have won four of their past five home meetings with the Pride of Rivers scoring just a goal in that period. Fatai Osho returns to Aba for the first time since his exit and will be keen to get one over his former employers.

Remo Stars and Nasarawa United will trade tackles at the Remo Stars stadium in Ikenne. The Sky Blue Stars are early leaders of the log and are yet to concede a goal in the tournament so far. On the other hand, Nasarawa United have scored four goals in two games but just two points to show for it and would be hoping for a better showing on Wednesday.

In Ilorin, Niger Tornadoes will be up against Imama Amapakabo’s Abia Warriors who have scored in every game this season so far.

Champions Akwa United will be at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium to face Gombe United. The Promise Keepers were pegged back by Shooting Stars last time out and will be up against a Gombe United side who needed a late goal to avoid defeat in Lafia on Sunday. Gombe United have never picked a point in Uyo before and have lost each of their past five visits to the Orange state.

Winless, pointless and without-a-goal MFM will host former gaffer Fidelis Ilechukwu and Plateau United at the Teslim Balogun Stadium. Meanwhile, After losing out in Jos, Kwara United will return to Ilorin to host former coach Kabiru Dogo and Wikki Tourists.

After suffering a home loss to Enyimba, Enugu Rangers will seek some redemption in their next outing at Sunshine Stars on matchday three. The Owena Whales have won just once in the past five meetings between the two sides and will be banking on the home support to claim a first win of the season.

On Thursday, winless Kano Pillars will be guests of Katsina United in Katsina. A fierce North-west derby any day and this could be another one as Katsina have not beaten Sai Masu Gida since 2017 in the NPFL.

In the midweek’s remaining games, Shooting Stars will be in Makurdi to face Lobi Stars while Heartland and Dakkada will battle for points in Owerri.
