Enyimba FC’s dependable midfielder Kelly Kester is on the brink of a move away from the two-time African Champions, www.aclsports.com can exclusively reveal.

The towering midfielder has spent the last two seasons with the 2015 league champions and was voted the club’s second best player in the 2015/16 season by fans of the club in an online portal ThatEnyimbaFan.

A natural holding midfielder with great abilities to break-up play, Kester is interesting Kano Pillars and most especially AITEO Cup winners, Akwa United.

Current Akwa United head coach Abdu Maikaba worked briefly at defunct Sharks of Port Harcourt during the time Kester played there and has since held the midfielder in high regards.

Kester was not part of the Enyimba side which travelled to Ado-Ekiti on Friday for their pre-season camp, fueling reports that the star midfielder has made up his mind to leave the People’s Elephant.

Enyimba on Wednesday announced the arrival of former coach Paul Aigbogun to take charge of the team in the next football league season.
