Shooting Stars Sports Club 3SC head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, has disclosed his side will keep fighting till they return to winning ways after another narrow defeat on the road in the NPFL on Wednesday, www.aclsports.com reports.

The Oluyole Warriors slumped to a one nil defeat to Sunshine Stars in Wednesday’s Southwest derby at the Ondo State Sports Complex – a result that left the Ibadan side without a win in their past three topflight games.

In his post match interview after the NPFL Matchday 12 encounter in Akure, Ogunbote said his 3SC side will pick up the pieces from the loss.

“The game has been played, won and lost, there is nothing we want to describe in it other than to take the positives from it and then forge ahead.

“We will quickly pick our pieces. We thought we could pick at least a point here and use it to console ourselves for the two points we dropped at home, but unfortunately, we were unable to do that.

“We still have to keep fighting, we go home to return back to winning ways”, stated the Oracle.

The former Rangers International and Lobi Stars tactician, regretted the injuries suffered early in the game by left back, Olawale Mutiu and forward, Emeka Obiora, which led to forced substitutions.

“Seriously, it really affected us because it left us with just one chance to make substitutions and as you can see, we had some of our players that we would have substituted, which we couldn’t do. It really affected us but it is one of those things”, concluded the highly respected tactician.

Ogunbote’s 3SC dropped to 6th on the log following their fourth defeat of the season and will play host to Katsina United in their next NPFL game at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday.
