Nigeria finish 3rd as Guinea win Africa U18 Handball title

Team Nigeria finished third at the just concluded Zone 2 and 3 Africa U18 female Handball championships in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast.

The 5th edition of the Zone 2 and 3 tournament was held from 25th to 31st August 2018, at the National Polytechnic Institute, Houphouët Boigny.

The tournament was sponsored by the minister of Sports, under the auspices of the African Handball Confederation and the federation Ivorian handball.

Nigeria beat Benin Republic 30-21 points in the third place match.

Guinea won the tournament at the goal-average in front of Côte d’Ivoire and the minister of sports, Paulin Claude Danho as each of the countries had 8 points.
