The Chief Judge of Kogi State, Justice Nasiru Ajanah has reiterated his continued support for the development of basketball at the grassroots in the state.

Speaking ahead of the 2019 Ajanah Annual Basketball Championship finals holding in Okene, the retired basketball player said seeing many talents being churned out yearly has continued to inspire him to do more.

For him, the vision to impart his immediate environment and discover the next generation of basketball stars has remained the driving force behind his consistency for the annual competition which has officially been on for the past 11 years.

Justice Ajanah said, “We have been able to introduce 4 women teams this year which in a way compensated for our inability to hold the event last year due to reasons beyond our control. This year’s event is another eye opener about the abundance of basketball talent within and outside Kogi state.”
