National Judo Champion, David Joseph has expressed his readiness for the 2019 All African Games in Morocco. Joseph won gold in the +100kg at the 2018 National Sports Festival in Abuja.

The Oyo born judoka told www.aclsports.com that he is optimistic of making Nigeria proud in Morocco.

He said, “Before the National Sports Festival, my mind set was to win gold and qualify for the 12th All African Games and I am happy that I accomplished my target.

“I am ready for the games, I train everyday whether there is a tournament or not. This is to keep me fit for the task ahead”.

Joseph stated that the Chairman Oyo state Judo Association, Dr Musa Oshodi has always inspired him with his pep talks.

He said, “The former Vice President of the Judo Federation, Dr Musa Oshodi has always been my source of motivation. After I missed the trip to Congo, he kept on encouraging me and told me never to give up on my dreams.
