2016 Rio Paralympic bronze medallist, Innocent Nnamdi said he wants to make a mark at the 2020 Para Powerlifting World Cup.

The 2020 Para Powerlifting World Cup began today at the Abuja International Conference Center in FCT.

Nnamdi told www.aclsports.com that the preparation towards the World Cup was intensive and top notch.

The African Champion said, “My intention is to make a positive mark in the Para Powerlifting circle. As you can see, I am 100% for my opponents from other countries.

“I have already qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics and want to prove myself here as well as improve my World rankings on my way to Tokyo”

Nnamdi revealed that it was painful settling for bronze at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.

He said, “It was painful losing gold medal and securing bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics because of the kind of intensive training we had prior to the games.

“I was not intimidated at all nevertheless that the 2016 Rio Paralympics was my first ever Paralympics event”.
