IHF Challenge Trophy: Nigeria U19 beat Canada to reach first final

Nigeria U19 reached their first final after they beat Canada in a pulsating semi-final match played at the Palace of Youth and Sports in in Pristina, Kosovo.

Nigeria led Canada in half time by 8 points 18-10 before sealing their historical win over highly rated Canada 32-25.

The President of Handball Federation of Nigeria, Samuel Ocheho told www.aclsports.com that the U19 team has made Nigeria proud by reaching the final of the IHF Challenge Trophy.

Ocheho said he is proud to be part of the success stories of Nigeria handball.

The Ex International said, “I am truly excited for this win even though the U21 have crashed out of the tournament with this victory, the U19 are doing Nigeria proud.

“We have never had it this smooth and good; this is the best stage we have ever reached in any continental and intercontinental tournament”.

He further said, “I am proud to be part of this success and proud the boy are rewriting Nigeria name in the history books. This is the beginning of greater things in Nigeria handball. We have started the journey and we will continue in this great journey”.
