Coach Peter Philip is optimistic that Kogi state U18 male team will beat Lagos state on Friday at the ongoing National U18 and U21 handball championship in Lagos.

Kogi and Lagos are both unbeaten at the event happening at the Rowe Park, Yaba.

Coach Philip told www.aclsports.com that he already has plans to shock the center of excellence boys.

He said, “With all due respect to the Lagos crew, my boys are ready to humble them in front of their crowd.  The technical crew worked on the team immediately we defeated Mindscope. Lagos state play a style and we know their style already. They are fast but we are going to slow them down.

He commended his players for fighting gallantly during the campaign.

Philip revealed to www.aclsports.com that most of the players have been together for long.

He said, “The reason why you see this beautiful display is because a large crop of the players have been playing together for three years consistently. We will not leave Lagos without the trophy”.
