After his sending off against Girona FC at the weekend, what Antoine Griezmann said to the center referee has surfaced.

Atletico Madrid had to come from two goals down to earn a hard-fought draw at newly promoted side, Girona, and had to do so with ten men after star forward, Griezmann was given his marching orders for the use of a foul language.

With his side trailing 2-0, Griezmann was booked for diving, and seconds later, he got a second yellow for protesting and apparently saying something to the referee, Martinez Munera.

Goals from his team mates, Angel Correa and José Gimenez saved Griezmann his blushes, but exactly what the Frenchman said that earned him a second yellow card and an early shower has finally been revealed.

“Eres un cagon” which translates literally to “you’re a f**king bottler,” Griezmann said to the man at the middle, Munera, according to Radioestadio.

After the match, Diego Simeone, Griezmann’s manager, was asked what he said to his star player but the Argentine said he was yet to speak to the player.

Griezmann is expected to face a two match ban for his troubles.
