The Flying Eagles, tutored by Ladan Bosso, are preparing for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to hold in Egypt later this month.

Bosso’s side went in front through Haliru Sarki minutes before the break. Just moments after the restart, the Junior Chipolopolo equalised through Amon Chulu.

Substitute Olamilekan Adams then put the Flying Eagles back in front some minutes after the hour mark. However, the Zambians found a leveller once more through Lasmond Phiri.

Despite the resilience of the visitors, the Nigerian side scored two late goals through Emmanuel Uchegbu and Samson Lawal to see out a win in the end.

Nigeria, who are Seven-time champions of the tournament, will do battle with host nation, Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique in Group A.

The competition will run from 19th February – 11th March and all four semi-finalists at the championship will fly Africa’s flag at this year’s FIFA U20 World Cup.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian side will continue their preparations ahead of the tournament at the nation’s capital, Abuja.
