Enugu storms National Youth Games with 50 athletes

The Enugu State contingent on Thursday night arrived the venue of the 3rd National Youth Games in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The venue for the games is at the University of Ilorin, as accreditation begins today (Thursday).

Enugu State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Joseph Udedi said a total of 50 athletes will be representing the state in the competition.

He said the state will feature in 10 Sports namely athletics, boxing, tennis, para-tennis, table tennis, weightlifting, taekwondo, judo and karate

“The state will do all it can to make an impact in the competition. The National Youth Games is an avenue to give the abundant talents that abound in the state the chance to be discovered so as to excel in their chosen sports,” he said.

He noted that there are incentives waiting for athletes that wins medal in Ilorin.
