Ivorian sprinter Murielle Ahouré clinched the 2018 IAAF Diamond League 100 metre first grand final held in Zurich, Switzerland on Thursday night.

She finished on 11.01 seconds, beating Briton and European champion Dina Asher-Smith (11”08), while another Ivorian Marie-Josée Ta Lou claimed the third spot on 11”10 sec.

Ahouré, the reigning world champion in indoor 60m women, topped the 100m table with 45 points during the seven qualifiers of the 2018 IAAF Diamond League that began in Doha, Qatar on May 12.

She takes home price money of $50,000, which is part of the $3.2 million to be distributed to winners of the 32 disciplines of this year’s edition, according to organisers.
